Fiesta Days announces David Kimmerle as 2016 CCFDR Parade Grand Marshal

“We are pleased to announce our 2016 CCFDR Parade Grand Marshal as Mr. David Kimmerle, of Sanderson Ford. Sanderson Ford is our Presenting Sponsor for both the Pro Rodeo and the Concert this year and we couldn’t think of any better way to honor them for their support”, said Robbie Hall, CCFDR Parade Chairperson.

The CCFDR Historic Parade takes place at 9am, on March 19th, during the CCFDR Kickoff Celebration.

The 2016 CCFDR souvenir poster features Brazilian Heeling sensation, Junior Nogueira.  This 2x WNFR contestant won his very first PRCA buckle at the 2014 Cave Creek Fiesta Days Rodeo!

Junior roped at the Finals this year with Jojo LeMond due to a very unfortunate horse accident that 7x World Champion Header, Jake Barnes had while practicing in Rio Verde, AZ.  In an interview, Junior spoke of how he would do his best professionally, but was sad that he would not be competing with his partner, Jake Barnes.

Watching Junior & Jojo rope was definitely thrilling, and as promised, Junior did very well at this past NFR.  We are looking forward to seeing both Jake & Junior at the 2016 CCFDR, April 1-3.

The Town of Cave Creek has been working hard to increase the parking capacity out at the rodeo grounds.  We’re told parking has increased by 75% and we all know that is wonderful news.

With that being said, we have just been informed that the Town has decided not to run the courtesy bus shuttles this year.  Please note, the courtesy shuttles were organized and run sole and separate from the Fiesta Days Rodeo Committee.

The members of the Cave Creek Pro Rodeo Association are thrilled to announce that they have received a nomination for the 2014 PRCA Small Rodeo of the Year award.

The PRCA divides its 600+ members into four categories as follows:

Large indoor – approx 13

Large outdoor – approx 35

Medium – approx 160

…With the remaining PRCA sanctioned rodeos in the Small category, which is more than 1/2 of the committee memberships.

The winners of all categories will be announced the evening of December 3rd, at the PRCA Awards Banquet.  The Wrangler Network will be streaming live for anyone who wants to watch the ceremonies at wranglernetwork.com.  Good luck to all the 2014 Nominees!

Exciting News / Update for the 2014 CCFDR…

There will be FREE shutte bus service on SATURDAY, MARCH 29TH from 5 until about 10pm. Rodeo fans can enjoy themselves in Town and catch a safe ride to the rodeo on Saturday night!

Shuttle bus stops are Hogs n Horses, the Buffalo Chip, Harold’s Corral and the Cave Creek Tap Haus. Be sure to support these fine establishments…. they are helping to pay for your safe ride.

Shuttle bus stops every 15 minutes, with 5 stops (the 4 businesses above plus Stagecoach Village). No need to take your own vehicle out to the Cave Creek Memorial Arena and fight for parking… let the shuttles get you there and back!!!
